time for a quickie

its time to share a few new layouts and a frame.....ive been way busy (what else is new hey)...

A layout of Tom, I love closeups and he has lovely eyelashes (as most boys do hey)...almost looks like he is wearing eye makeup in this shot! Thats a WOW flourish, Kaiser rubon and a bunch of metal!.

We went to Bradman Museum at Bowral for Jaks birthday. Facinating place, prob even more if you like cricket!. But we had a lovely day. I think this was the best part of the museum, a seat near a tv, that you could select to listen to someone talk about cricket. Tom and I settled in to listen to Sir Michael Parkinsons stories....and he has a few!, but very interesting it was.

Heres a close up of the page...i  use a WOW AltaMatz ( the chicken wire ) and covered it with gesso and then pressed it on the page, then misted over it. The chipboard wire is WOW and that cute banner is 'a little something'.

This layout has a photo that is atypical of Tom and my brother....they are always goofing around. Tom adores John, too much sometimes lol....he copies everything he says and does, always has!...Its urban legend, their fav greeting to each other is 'hows ya bum for grubs!'...yeh, well they think they are funny anyway! lol

Wendy Smith and I are on the dt for WOW...we thought it might be fun to have a scrapoff against each other with identical products. So Suzanne sent us this awesome 12x12 shadow box and a bunch of flourishes, leaves and butterflies....and off we went. I had a ball. Both the frames turned out fab and very different. To start with I made mine so the pages can be interchangeabe, Wens is a fixed page. I used lots of gesso, black and white then covered it with gold and silver spray paint, melted the lot with my heatgun to get the metal look. Left most of the flourishes raw, but did the butterfies with the same paints and then added a webbing paint over the top at the end. The challenge will be on the WOW blog soon, so you can see both of the frames side by side then.

heres a close up of the gate on the side.....

This last page has a photo of me and one of my bffs Kelly...this is on Goat island in 1988, for the bi-centenial. We went with the MSB (where i was working at the time). This was the end of very long fun party weekend to say the least. Seems forever ago, we had so many fun times, and back then there were no camera phones to catch the action!(thankfully I think) like now. Dont you just love the sunnies?...be thankful i edited the photo and you didnt see the boardshorts in coour that i was wearing! lol

I tried something a little different with this page...actualy scrapped the page, without the photo on yet and then misted with Ranger mist all over everything randomly, adding a little colour to the WOW flourish and fence also the paper and flowers.

Thats it for me for now
have a great mums day to all

Thanks for dropping past

toot

toot, toot ........lmao

I dont do this much, but i was way excited to finally crack it...and WIN the SYDNEY ROYAL EASTER SHOW...for Excellence in Class 240 -Scrapbooking
and now its back from the show, i get to share with you!

...the layout is about my Great Uncle Den, he turned 90 in june last year and is still going strong. He is an funny old bugger, but a very intelligent one, been through many harsh and hard times on the land in outback Australia. I think sometimes we forget in our fast moving world, just how these are the people who built this wonderful country we live in. He has our respect and love and sometimes we just shake our heads at the stories he tells.

closer shots of the pages.

heres a few photos of the great great nephews (my Tom, Jak and Max) getting a 'how to chop wood' lesson from a master! Both my brother and I had the best times growing up in his company at Ben and Cullen and now its nice for our boys to have time with him too.

..........and look whats hanging in the shop for the next year! hehehee

thanks or stopping bye

a quickie

to say hello...and show a couple of pages I have done lately....
I've actually had a good mojo flowing lately, maybe its the non-sleeping thing, but i am doing far more scrapping than I have for ages.

This layout is a awesome photo taken by Kris Pace at Camp Mojo last year of my friend Sharryn Thompson. There was a talent show and I shall not repeat what Sharryn did, but she was spectacular and is still re-living the event ( with a little help from us all lol)...
I have used one of the new WOW AltaMatz to spray the circle on the background, and the flourish is also WOW chipboard. Feathers, bows and bling....all add to the magic that is Shazz!

Not that long ago....I had 2 beautiful little baby boys to hang out with....now one of them has just started High School (Jak) and the other is in 6th class (thomas)....How time flies...way too fast for me!.
The boys arent even one year old here, playing together, which I am very proud to say, they still hang out together nicely now and are great friends and cousins, guess we have done something right!

This is a WOW antique clock and WOW flourish, simply inked.

My POD...how he has grown up so much in the last 12 months...almost a teenager and a mini man for sure! (sad really lol)....It does get a little hard to keep thinking of titles of random photos of boys, I dont do the 'cherish, love, adore' stuff too often!....But as far as Tom is concerned.."yourself is good" is a great title....cause it is!

here I have used a mixture of WOW chipboard cogs and Tim Holtz metal ones and buttons. this is also a WOW flourish. Paint, spray and rubons for the added highlights to the page.

Bella! had a sketch challenge via fb a few weeks ago, I gave it a shot, as I really love their papers. this is a photo of my mum and dads wedding day. I have used the Bella black and white wedding range and embellishments.......and added a WOW flourish for highlight.

...........and to finish, heres the title page for my '52 for 2012.............and embarrassing as it is, this is the only page I have done so far...but i am off to get to it now, I had to get a few photos printed. Its basically ME, and an owl and some WOW circles (my fav chipboard) and this beautiful WOW stem flourish...with purple everywhere!

So thanks for dropping past....'Im off to Scrapgirls retreat next weekend....so hopefully I will have a few layouts to share when I get back.

sharing..........

......a few layouts.
I have been scrapping a fair lot lately, heres a few:

This a old photo of Me and My Mum.....cute hey! lol......Some are saying, not so much my style, what with lots of flowers and pink!. But by the time I had finished and added the vintage ink, its a little me i think!. Here I have used WOW chipboard flourishes, lots of the new ribbon flowers that I got in the shop, they have an awesome texture too, so pretty. And that music paper is embossed, so when you add ink, paint or mist, it appears 'like magic', cool hey!

thinking outside the usual square........heres a WOW chipboard title 'love you' with a twist. i dont do the soppy titles much, my version....a photo of Tom and I with something we both ove....Slurpees!
Using a WOW chip circle as a base, adding lace to the edge, and the other circles are grungeboard inked!

I love this layout!.....very messy and random. A really cute photo of my POD, using paint, which IRL is blobby and messy (hard to see that in a photo) .....WOW chipboard cogs, backened. Tim Holtz film strip and lots of bits and pieces from my stash.

Not something I do very often...but I scrapped myself of now. I love this photo of me and Lisa, taken at the Savvy-Delights retreat this year. WOW frame, that originally said 'scrap queens'...didnt suit us, so i altered it to 'scrap buds'....the 'queen' title is waiting in my stash for that photo that will suit.

.....this photo is from christmas day this year. Greg and Ali have a great friendship, here's a secret convo going on between them, I think it was regarding what santa bought Ali....but I wasnt allowed in! lol
This is a Tim Holtz mask with some of that magic embossed paper (with flourishes on it) and then sprayed with gold spray paint to alter the page colour. WOW chip corners, love these!

....so thats it for now
Thanks for dropping past.

helloooooo

hey all...i know its been ages, I have been so busy, yeh not a good enough excuse, but hopefully everything is back on track for a wee while and i will attempt to post more often.

Heres a few shots of why i was missing in action....CHA.....i didnt get to go, but i did have the privildge to make some awesome projects for Fynmark and with a little WOW addons. These new ranges from Bella and Ruby Rock-it are sooooo noice. I loved have the chance to play with them before release.
Seems everyone who went to CHA had a ball this year and lots of new yummy product is slowly making its way to Delights now.

This Ruby Rock-it range is called 'August Moon', its so pretty and girly and inks so nicely too.
These are 2 shots of Liv and Ali from christmas morning, browing up fast my girls are!...way too fast!

this frame was on display at CHA showing the new papers availabe in the range, along with a mix of yummy embelishments and flowers

here is a WOW 12x12 free standing filigree frame, that i decorated for the display.

a printers tray...using the 'august moon' range and some old photos of the girls at michaels wedding. I have used a few WOW chipboard frames and leaves.

close up of the title and leaves

                                                                and the frames

I love this photo of Liv, she insists on wearing a shower cap to the bath, it saves the complaining when it comes to brushing the wet hair, so al good. this is the 'august moon' range again...fussy cutting galore and lots of ink.

and they were put together for the display on the Fynmark stand.

there...see told you Ive been busy....

thanks for popping in...see you soon ;)
